This is the place where you can find informations about the refurbishment work. Have fun!

12.09.2018

The roof is rising.

""

10.09.2018

Even the bathroom got removed.

""

10.09.2018

The scaffold arrived.

""

""

""

""

08.09.2018

Here the rising of the roof is prepared.

""

""

""

06.09.2018

The office got removed.

""

""

05.09.2018

We took off the old pavement.

""

30.08.2018

Everything got removed from the bookstore and the library.

""

""

""

20.08.2018

The foredeck is already gone.

""

12.09.2017

Everywhere there are new or reworked, old doors in new and old places.

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

06.09.2017

The housing of the elevator is nearly done.

""

04.09.2017

The painting work is progressing quite well.

""

""

31.08.2017

As mentioned below, there is a new heating system.

""

24.08.2017

The new wooden floor in the pub has been laid and looks pretty chic. It will get darker.

""

""

""

""

23.08.2017

The yard was newly paved. It does not look like construction on the outside anymore.

""

""

""

22.08.2017

The equipment for the new kitchen is finally there and now mostly installed and connected. Another step towards the return of the Kinderladen. 🙂

""

""

""

""

18.08.2017

Here and there are already new windows in it …

""

16.08.2017

The old distribution of the electricity is finally gone and therefore a whole lot of cable salad. So in the end, one municipal utility company found out where electricity had been coming from for decades – and switched off the old line.

""

""

""

Also the new the railing is on the new stairs

""

11.08.2017

As fast as it was built, it was also dismantled again. This morning, at least in my amateur perception, in record time, the scaffolding has been dismantled. Wow!

""

""

""

""

09.08.2017

This slightly different view into the children’s shop garden is not there any more…

""

… because there already is the ventilation of the new hood mounted in the kitchen.

""

27.07.2017

The mesh mats are now suspended piece by piece in the hall.

""

24.07.2017

The roof is newly covered and looks very chic.

""

""

""

""

Including self-painted shuttering.

""

21.07.2017

Meanwhile, two new rooms were built in front of the entrance above each other…

""

""

… as well as the new elevator!

""

""

""

10.07.2017

The attic was insulated and made walkable. From now on nobody can break through the ceiling anymore. Well, isn’t it great?

""

""

""

29.06.2017

The window behind the stage could not be seen for three months. Now it’s gone again. But this time with a real wall. Sleep well, Schanzenstraße!

""

After the old roof was torn away in the last few weeks and the old, slanted laths were replaced, the first bit of roof has been re-covered since today. Yay!

""

""

""

""

26.06.2017

The kitchen floor was totally broken! But it’s okay by now.

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

23.06.2017

Getting up early was worth it, because today there was a lot to see! With a large crane and partly in millimeter work, the new staircase, as well as the roof for the shelter was “flown”. Fantastic! : D

First stairs:

""

""

""

""

Then the roof:

""

""

""

""

Then the second stairs.

""

""

""

""

22.06.2017

It was raining! Luckily only a little!

""

""

15.06.2017

That’s what the sandstone restoration looks like in the beginning.

""

12.06.2017

Hardly bricked, already perforated … Its the place for the new heating system.

""

09.06.2017

The glass wool insulation is out. Now you can also breathe in the attic.

""

""

""

08.06.2017

Wasn’t there a toilet?

""

""

07.06.2017

Hello basement!

""

01.06.2017

The scaffolding was set up and released in less than two days.

""

""

""

29.05.2017

Whaaaat?

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

24.05.2017

Shell.

""

23.05.2017

Building site of the week.

""

""

15.05.2017

New steel beams for the hall. Like on a real construction site. 🙂

""

""

12.05.2017

Last week, the foundation pit for the new construction of the stairs and the future elevator was dug and fixed. Now the concrete is in it and will dry until next week.

""

04.05.2017

Excavation.

""

""

Walls come…

""

…and go.

""

28.04.2017

The new shelter, lovingly called “Hobbithöhle”, is being built.

""

""

In the cellar new underground lines are laid. Much is being torn up for that.

""

""

""

26.04.2017

The construction sign is here and installed – now we build officially.

""

Inside, it continues with the shell. New lintels for windows and wall parts have been and are being set and the channels for the underground pipes have been completely dug.

20.04.2017

A hardworking week. The demolition is now largely completed. And the excavation pit for the future noise protection shelter has been completely excavated.

Since we have tons of old wood at the moment, we thought of a contemplative campfire. Of course with content …

""

12.04.2017 – Demolition at full speed

Today, a large part of the demolition was completed. The floorboards in the pub, the entire heating system, all kinds of concrete bases, tiles on the walls – all gone. Similarly, the plasterboard on the ceiling in the hall. Tomorrow we continue with the excavation for the future noise protection shelter on the north side in front of the inlet.

Incidentally, the hall is a really worth seeing room at the moment. not because of the building rubble lying around, but because for the first time you can see the window behind the stage from the inside.

Otherwise, the place looks like one of those completely run down Tekkno locations from the mid-nineties – the perfect lostplace …

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

""

11.04.2017 – The excavators are coming

Today, the two outer shed and the main staircase were demolished. Very impressive…

""

""

""

07.04.2017 – The yard is being paved

Despite the absolute crap weather today, surprisingly many people came to our small action. Once again kudos to all involved.

After that there was another extermination action. Some now uncooled drinks had to be assigned to their destination … Again, great successes were recorded. But I only know that from hearsay …

""

""

""

01.04.2017 – Arrival of the containers

In the first picture you can see the toilet container, in the second one of the three storage containers into which we will store our AZ next week.

""

""
